YELLOW AND BLUE (A DREAM)
Here in lies a dream stranger than fiction,
Yet reality despises it with all its friction,
Picture a world set in perfect accord,
Where everyone lives and abides by one word,
A word generated by a guaranteed truth,
A promise made to not corrupt the innocence of youth,
Where the power of speech never hurts but always heals,
And pain no one ever feels,
A utopia of blues mixed with yellow,
Where tempers are mild and mellow,
War is only spelled backward, and does not exist,
Compassion and love for one another persists,
Now I am not naïve, I know this is not achievable,
But the premise of it all is in some part feasible,
To postulate a dream of which is a tall order,
For we must accept a planet without borders,
Crazy of me to propose such a notion,
Amidst slander, libel and preposterous commotion,
Before you dub me laughable look inside your heart,
For within it is where it all can start,
Simple acts of kindness and the lack of use of harsh words,
Towards all mankind, can make this dream a little less absurd,
It’s all in how you mix the yellow with the blue,
As to how the reality of green becomes true.
