YOU and ME

Tonight it is all about you and me,

Let’s make our past heartaches a distant memory,

We no longer need to look back now,

Us finding one another again was more than by chance somehow,

I believe a heavenly hand had something to do with it,

A divine nature deemed our two hearts to seem fit,

Fit for a chance,

To go beyond friendship and into romance,

With every word you speak,

I dangle on the edge, for my knees go weak,

I like you so very much and I know you feel the same way too,

Eager am I to feel your touch and finally get to be with you,

We will take it at its own stride,

So tonight let’s take a moment and feel if the chemicals collide,

Between you and I,

And we’ll know when we look into one another's eyes,

If this is the type of relationship we wish to pursue,

I think the answer is already there based on the chemistry between us two,

But tonight we’ll find out for certain,

What lies in the matter of our hearts doth pertain,

All I ask is if you feel it simply nod your head yes,

And when I feel it as well, in you I will confess,

With all this being said, I can promise you one thing for sure,

In me you can trust, I will not take lightly one’s heart so pure.
