LIGHTNING & THUNDER

Lightning and thunder,

Two of nature’s wonders,

Yet in you I’ve found a third,

Go ahead blush and call me absurd,

But when God made you, He made history,

For in you I find one of nature’s mysteries,

The light in your eyes,

Shine brighter than the clearest of skies,

So too such radiance I find in your smile,

The one that makes my heart’s existence worthwhile,

I cannot and will not question why me,

Something so special and intriguing you see,

I simply accept the fact that we are together,

And you know that from your little finger do I tether,

For you have me wrapped around so tight,

If ever I wanted to be freed, I’d lose the fight,

But freedom I find within you,

For no one has ever made my heart beat so true,

You and I are a combination of wonder,

Yet we compliment each other like lightning and thunder.
