I DREAM IN AMAZEMENT

I still find myself caught in this dream,

Reality is does not seem,

For beauty has always been a friend,

Yet it’s taken thirty-four years to find where it begins,

And then suddenly my eyes opened wide,

I saw you in a different light, one from which you could not hide,

Amazing how He works in mysterious ways,

For I was certain that alone I’d be for the rest of my days,

Now, well now there’s a promise in the air,

I breathe it in and it takes away my every care,

You, oh you, how I sing your praise,

You, and only you have ever left me in such a craze,

I find myself bewildered by you,

A woman of conviction and a heart so true,

Your strength of character amazes me each day,

For I know that both our paths were not easy in anyway,

Yet here we are as they crossed again somehow,

I will not question why, I will just live for the here and now,

For He must had this in His simple plan,

It was not by fate, nor coincidence that now I am your man,

Something divine intervened and led us here,

So I shall adore you and always revere,

The fact that your heart beats in part for me,

Just as mine does for you without pause or hesitancy,

Still reality this does not seem,

For I find myself caught in this the sweetest of dreams.
