ONLY ONE IN COLOR
These shades of grey,
Follow me around each and every day,
Obscurity from one another,
In a monotone world, she’s the only one in color,
She’s the vibrant red rose in a garden of gloom,
Yet despite the monotony she is always in full bloom,
Crimson petals as smooth as silk,
She colors my world with a fabulous ilk,
It’s true she stands out so vivid in such a crowd,
Ever so gracefully without being crass and loud,
She thirsts for life and it is quenched like the morning dew,
She is indeed a rarity, seen by only a select few,
In the garden of various hues of grey,
My red rose gives me hope in every way,
In a world of dreary and drab,
She is the only one I want to have,
For like her there is no other,
In my eyes, she is the only one in color.
