A LETTER GOODBYE

You don’t need to hurt anymore,

I’ll pack my things and make my way to the door,

Goodbyes are always difficult to say,

Especially when you love someone this way,

But I don’t want you to hurt any longer because of me,

So today I’m leaving and letting you be,

Love shouldn’t hurt, it shouldn’t cause one such pain,

I’m leaving here hoping only good memories do remain,

One less thing that you need to worry,

And one less time I need to say that I’m sorry,

Breaking apart,

This love within my heart,

For all this time wasn’t wasted years,

Dry your eyes, there’s no need for tears,

I don’t regret the moments in time shared with you,

So with a heavy heart I bid adieu,

I’ll continue loving you each and every day,

And at some point I’ll find myself along the way,

You’ll find strength in your character and once again happiness,

I’ll find a friend in my solitude and emptiness,

Sometimes I just don’t understand this life we’re living through,

Maybe out there somewhere I’ll find a meaning that’s true,

Please remember me and know that I’m doing this because I love you.
