THE CERTAINTY OF MY HEART

The ambiguity of it all is that I know,

There’s a certain uncertainty not allowing me to show,

What’s in my heart everyday,

Let’s make certain that I love you in every way,

These words are not tainted by a clouded mind,

Open up this heart and you shall find,

That it beats for only one, only you,

With every cadence its promise is true,

So never doubt its palpitation and each flutter,

My heart is behind every “I love you” that I mutter,

Every undulation is a rhythm with your name,

Just as every rhyme of love is for you, it’s all the same,

Be assured my love is here to stay,

It won’t leave you even through the most difficult of days,

For you believe in the good in me,

And each time I look your way, goodness is all I see,

On nights like these I miss you so much,

I’ve grown to fall asleep to the gentleness of your touch,

You are to me a profound expression of what love is,

I look at you and my smile is because of this,

This love shared between you and me,

So if ever you become puzzled by my obscurity,

Always remember it’s merely a phase I’m going through,

The clouds will part, the sun will shine and I’ll continue to love you.
