SHE IS LOVE
Old memories close at hand,
I will never understand,
How I believed in you,
For I have found love ever so true.
She paints my world with an artist’s touch,
Never before has my heart smiled so much,
Jubilant in nature it now seems to be,
Always longing for her to find me.
Ironic how when smothered with love, one can breathe,
Into the depths of the ocean my old memories do I heave,
For it is time that new ones take their place,
True love’s promise fills a once empty space.
She is my revelation,
Her love deserves a standing ovation,
It is kind, forgiving, understanding and all that is true,
Oh sweet love, I believe in you.
I lay my armor at her feet,
Praying she take mercy on me,
I once was a prisoner behind self-constructed walls,
But brick by brick now it falls.
My days are better, and my nights are sweet,
Loving her is such a saccharin treat,
When our hearts did collide,
It was an explosion from which I could not hide.
She is the smile upon my face,
An emotion I could never replace,
I find in her serenity and peace,
A resounding love, to say the least.
It echoes from the depths of my heart and soul,
And each moment I’m with her I want to lose control,
I get lost in her way,
She is now my reason for each day.
She is what new memories are made of,
She is the definition of love,
She is my light at the end of the tunnel I’ve trudged through,
She is love and I have no doubt that it’s true.
