THE KEYS

Did you know you caught me off guard?

I always felt that loving me was hard,

You astonish me how you do it with ease,

So in one hand is my heart, and the other, the keys,

I am more than willing to give it all to you,

For nothing I want more than to feel your love so true,

You’ve got me flipping head over heel,

Amazement is how I constantly describe how I feel,

That’s what you’ve done to me,

You’ve taken a bound heart and set it free,

I have to say I was taken back in surprise,

When I looked directly into your green eyes,

And spoke of how I loved you,

Without hesitation you replied, “I love you too.”

As we set out on this journey called love,

I ask for guidance from the powers above,

For I never want to leave you with a sad disposition,

I will always strive to put you in a state of happy predilection,

So again I must say you amaze me how you love me with ease,

I now entrust in you my heart for you now have the keys.
