SHALLOW BELIEVERS

Shallow believers always taking truth in what is said,

Rumors and lies constantly filling up their head,

By the gossipers and those who spread nothing but hearsay,

Oh for the sweet love you shallow believers find your own way,

Show some intellect and ignore those who dumbfound,

Put your belief and energy in all that is profound,

Astonished am I by how such ignorance you follow,

Words spoken by those whose minds are empty and hollow,

Heed wisdom and don’t find factual all that you hear,

Especially from fools who are seeking a lent ear,

Yet you still amaze me by swallowing lies,

How you live by secondhand speech leaves me in surprise,

Pity on the shallow believers I find,

For nothing but stupidity clouds your mind.
