I’m sorry for leaving my love, my friend,

I wish I could ease your grieving, but this is the end,

Of my journey here with you,

This day would come, we both knew,

Goodbyes are always one of the hardest parts of living,

Apparently I have given all that I am capable of giving,

Please don’t let a tear drop from those heavenly eyes,

Just hold me one last time and whisper your goodbyes,

Someday you’ll spread your wings and fly to me,

But for now this is how it has to be,

Let me hold your face and kiss away the sorrow,

Things will be different for you when the sun rises tomorrow,

Just remind yourself that despite the distance that separates us apart,

Forever will there be a piece of me within your heart,

I know that tonight you stand upon the edge of the unknown,

But in your thoughts are memories of us, so you’ll never be alone,
