GUARDIAN ANGEL

Seek me within the confessional of your heart,

For I’ve always been there since I had to depart,

I know you’ve wept a million tears,

Catching them I have these past few years,

Before one precious droplet hits the floor,

My angel, you don’t have to cry any more,

It’s time your grey skies turn blue again,

I’m here always by your side, your protection from the pain,

Move on in life and let go of my memory,

You’ve mourned and grieved entirely too long over me,

A new life for you starts now,

And to love again you will learn somehow,

Precious be the sands of time,

Waste no more, a new day you will find,

I know the day I left your sun went black,

But here I am once more and I’ve forever got your back,

I know by now confusion has set in,

Thoughts of our yesterdays still are within,

Your heart, and they burden your mind,

As what to do, for lay them down and you’ll find,

Clarity amongst this turmoil,

For angel of mine the roles have recoiled,

That presence you sense has been me all the while,

So go out there and let this world again see your smile,

I will continue to shelter you with my love,

Only now I must do it from the heavens above.
