DO YOU REMEMBER (SEASONS)

Do you remember all the poems I have wrote for you,

Each one telling a story of our love renewed,

I remember the moment I looked into your eyes and took the fall,

When I said those three little words your smile said it all,

Do you remember the nightly strolls underneath the stars,

Each one a guiding light to where we are,

I remember sneaking up from behind you to steal a kiss,

Every morning while you were in the shower through the steamy mist,

Do you remember drawing heart shapes with your finger on the shower door,

Leaving indelible “I LOVE YOU’S” and so much more,

I remember taking your hand and dancing in the pouring rain,

Drenched as we were I’d relive it a million times again,

Do you remember wrestling around on top of the bed,

I pinned you but when you kicked out I bumped my head,

I remember all those nights of you asking me to scratch your back,

“Okay, but for just 15 minutes.” I’d say; but we always seemed to lose track,

Do you remember how it all came to an end,

The day we stopped being best of friends?

I remember the day you set off and said goodbye,

Holding each other, a kiss on the forehead and tears in our eyes,

Do you remember all the seasons we went through?

I remember all the reasons of why I am missing you.
