HAD ENOUGH (A CALL FOR CHANGE)

Sometimes I feel I’ve had enough of this world I can take,

The callowness, shallowness and selfishness could cause one to break,

It’s almost as if we are reverting back to intolerant days,

When we should be moving forward seeking love in new ways,

Love, isn’t that what makes this world go ‘round?

It’s an age old statement yet I still find profound.

I look beyond the horizon to see what’s in store,

I call upon our youth to join together and shake intolerance to the core,

No more judging people by race, sexual orientation or disability,

No more judging period… love by ones heart’s capability.

Compassion is not a fault so let it show,

You, others and I can make a difference, this I know,

It doesn’t matter from what walk of life you come from to me,

This is the message the rest of this world should see,

We can’t change it all in just one day,

But with every step forward is a step towards the right way,

So once more upon the youth of today I call,

Together we can break down the walls of ignorance and intolerance until they fall.
