OPEN UP OUR NARROW MINDS (A call for Change, Peace & Love)

This is a call for change,

A chance to rearrange,

Our values and priorities,

And turn around this society.

When will we learn that it’s not all about us?

Isn’t supposed to be “In God We Trust?”

Maybe if we open up our narrow minds,

A new sense of empowerment we will find.

This is a call for peace,

A chance to lay down our weapons at least,

For just a moment in time,

So there can be an end to needless bloodshed and dying.

Reach out our hands to help our brothers,

So no more tears will fall from the faces of our mothers.

Maybe if we open up our narrow minds,

A new found harmony with one another we will find.

This is a call to love,

A chance to heed the words from above.

It shouldn’t matter the color of your skin,

The only thing that matters is the beauty within.

And compassion is an emotion within us all,

Love… we shouldn’t fear the fall.

Maybe if we open up our narrow minds,

A new appreciation for one another we will find.

Maybe if we open up our narrow minds,

A change of thinking, peace without conflict and love without borders we will find.
