BEYOND SKIN DEEP
And every night she cries herself to sleep,
Wanting something more in which to believe,
She wonders why does this always happen to me?
With every deep breath she takes,
She can’t help but to muse on past mistakes,
As she feels the anguish from all her heartaches.
She longs for Love’s day,
Yearning for something special to come her way,
Constantly telling herself each tomorrow is a new today.
She’s beautiful from the inside,
Insecurities, she has none to hide,
All she desires is to take Love’s ride.
Yet everyone she’s seen can’t see her beyond skin deep,
Merely all she asks for is someone’s heart to keep,
So that no longer will she have to cry herself to sleep.
