PROMISE OF A NEW DAY

And when the Sun rises in the East this morn,

The promise of a new day shall be born,

It is up to you as to what you make of it,

My hope is that something wondrous you take of it,

For our tomorrows are never guaranteed,

Such a truthful statement that all should heed,

Show someone love today,

Even if it is in the most simplistic way,

Be a bit more tolerant to the differences around you,

Show this world that your character is true,

Be a little less selfish and a little more selfless,

Take a chance on love and do confess,

Like it is said, you’ll never know unless you try,

And when someone gives of themselves don’t question why,

Take their act of kindness and pay it forward in return,

And always remember despite our age, we still have much to learn,

Life can be something beautiful, so make this your day,

Give unto others, laugh and love, for to live there’s no other way.
