DEFY DESOLATION

I feel how deep you are in loneliness and desolation,

I have my moments lost in the same frustration,

We all at some point feel the sadness of sorrow,

But don’t let go, for there is always a tomorrow,

Hold on to the promise of a better day,

Don’t ever give up, because that’s not the way,

All the lost souls, we gather to unite,

So march on, we are behind you tonight,

I see the anguish in your despair,

Remember this, there are those of us who do care,

I know you want to be released from the shackles of solitude,

Just don’t let this emptiness inside destroy your fortitude,

This loneliness you feel will pass in time,

And the world will be yours again soon you will find,

So trudge along, never forgetting I am by your side,

And remember, in me you can always confide,

I do not say these words just to appease you,

I believe in your heart and know that it is true,

So please don’t let desolation define your heart,

It is merely a wall that together we can break apart,

Regain your spirit and know that you belong,

And together all of us will march on…
