THE DEATH OF LOVE
The rain keeps pouring inside my head,
Reminding me that love is now dead,
Regrets of a fool as I watched it die in agony,
Perverse persuasions will live in infamy,
No more will I write of thee,
For loved has taken its last breath in front of me,
Deviant forces overcame my soul,
The day I saw love lose its control,
For me, the death of love is always due,
I am never the one right for “you”,
Lie there love in death’s sweet repose,
No longer do you exist in my eyes, I suppose,
You’ve always been a backbiting untruth to me,
Six feet under is where you should be,
Goodbye love you mythical deception,
No longer shall I be fooled by your innocent perception,
You were guilty of breaking hearts and I do not mourn your death,
I’m just glad I was there to watch you take your last breath,
To watch you wiggle and squirm gave me great pleasure,
For your toll on me has no measure,
Deceive the hearts of others if you may,
Rot their minds with false pretenses each day,
But as far as I’m concerned you no longer exist,
And now my heartaches will no longer persist,
As I said before, this is the last of you I write,
For you love died right in front of me tonight.
