I BELIEVE

In a time when things no longer seem true,

I believe in you, through and through,

In a world that has grown desolate and cold,

Where humankind’s souls are bought and sold,

I believe that goodness can once again prevail,

It’s all within the smallest of detail,

I believe in a far greater power,

One all of us need in this the desperate of hour,

I believe in the future of tomorrow,

A new day to wipe away today’s sorrow,

I believe in might of forgiveness,

Seven times seventy He said unto us,

I believe our heart outweighs our faults and flaws,

Look inside, there is good in us all,

I believe in love,

And that sometimes all it takes is a bit of a shove,

To put it into motion,

And I believe that’s no nonsensical notion,

It’s all within the competency of choice,

As well as the virtue of voice,

I believe these words to be true,
