CARRY ON (WHAT HAVE WE DONE?)
Look what we have done,
Yet we carry on,
As if nothing matters,
All the while, she shatters,
Now more than ever,
The bond between mankind begins to sever,
Conflicts of epic proportions,
Consumes us with social distortions,
The death of this land,
As all of us have blood upon our hands,
How do we carry on from here?
So that generations from now may have their years,
I am merely one voice,
But we all must make a choice,
To change our selfish ways,
So that our children may find better days,
Still we carry on,
Are we blind to what we have done?
Get up and take a stance,
For we are in dire circumstance,
Carry on in disarray,
What a shame it is, human nature’s way,
When we’d rather kill than smile,
Damned and doomed we are, all the while,
Pretending all is fine,
Not through these eyes of mine,
I can see the truth at hand,
Destruction of youth in this land,
Yet we continue to carry on,
Wake up people and look what we have done!
