THE SUN COMES UP

Whatever weighs your mind this night,

Just remember tomorrow the sun will rise so bright,

I too know how it feels to be alone,

For I walk this earth on my own,

So many of us shunned upon because of our stray from normality,

But life’s not about mere formality,

It’s about living as you choose,

Remember that or your individuality you’ll eventually lose,

I know ignorance and intolerance surrounds us all,

But if we continue to stand they will crumble and fall,

Faults and flaws we all have got,

Perfection is a myth and exists it does not,

But the closest thing is to just be yourself,

This is a lesson I’ve learned myself,

We are not here for others to please,

First we must find it within our own souls to appease,

Shame on those who think they are better than you or me,

When they meet their maker so to their judgment will be,

So tonight, dry your eyes diamond eyes and forget the sorrow,

For another chance to shine for you will happen, when the sun comes up tomorrow.
