LOVE’S SONG
She is the blossom that never withers, never dies,
Throughout the winters she remains spry,
My weary head seeks comfort upon her chest,
Where she lets me lay my worries to rest,
She is my shelter in tempestuous times,
And she always praises these silly rhymes,
She is my angel sent from above,
To save my sordid soul with her love,
It is the song she sings that draws my ear,
Often off-tune but that of a siren is all I hear,
Beside her is where I forever want to be,
For she brings out the best that is within me,
She is beauty not normally found,
I’d dare you to search this world around,
And yet you’d never find another like her,
It is her smile alone that I do prefer,
For when she does, her entire face does shine,
Oh how fortunate am I that she lets me call her heart mine.
