LOVE III (THE CONCLUSION)

Drift off to dream,

Let slumber lead you to beam,

Your wondrous smile,

As you cuddle your pillow all the while.

I will lay beside you in awe,

For even as you sleep I fall,

Further down love’s way,

Beauty such as you only leaves me longing for the day,

When I finally reach the destination,

And we can say “I love you” without hesitation,

Pure and true,

From me to you,

And in turn the same,

The simplistic joy of speaking each other’s name,

Days when you can turn around and I’ll be there,

Moments when you’ll hold my hand when I feel I’m lost in the middle of nowhere,

Isn’t that what love is all about?

It makes you want to climb atop the highest mountain to proclaim and shout,

That you are the one who warms this heart,

And never do I want to part,

But for now I must whisper it seems,

For you have long drifted off to sweet dreams.
