BEAUTIFUL CREATURE III (THE FINAL ACT)
God forbid I do not wake tonight,
Take these words and touch someone’s heart with which I write,
I’ve spoke of my beautiful creature,
And how I admire her every feature,
From her beauty within,
To her outer winsomeness be my sin,
She is without a doubt my muse,
That keeps my mind in this clever ruse,
Of cat and mouse I play,
Only to find it’s a game of one when I wake each day,
For she has no clue,
That to think of her I come unglued,
If I owned the world I’d give it up in a heartbeat,
Just to be the one to kiss her lips so supple and sweet,
I’d live my life to ensure any of her sadness be short lived,
In a world of disarray and madness, happiness to her I’d give,
Unspeakable passion would consume us,
All she needs is to take my hand and leave in me her trust,
I will not leave her jaded,
By a love broken and faded,
What bonds the two of us will stand the sands of time,
I will be all that she needs and more o’ beautiful creature of mine.
Again, God forbid I do not wake tonight,
May those who read this be touched by the words I write.
For in us all we have visions of our own beautiful creature,
Each of us desire someone to love and in return love our every feature,
So often it is said beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder,
So true, so very true… so find your love and fan the flames so they forever smolder.
In all of us is a beautiful creature within,
With all apologies to Mr. Shakespeare… to love is not a sin.
It’s an emotion innate in us all,
The sin would be for us to not take the fall.
