POETIC TRAGEDY

POETIC TRAGEDY

He always believed the cup was half empty,

Such a sad notion of love it could be.

Never did he seek,

Ever so weak,

When it came to finding love.

So many times he’d pray to the Power above,

Asking that he would find her.

Yet all these years was she nowhere,

Or at least his thinking was that belief,

Stricken by grief,

He took his own life,

No longer could he deal with his strife.

As he lay to rest,

The people came to pay their respects,

One in particular, his best friend,

Knew her heart would never fully mend,

For she loved him and was going tell him soon,

But his foolishness did this ruin.

So here within lies the moral,

The cup may not be half empty, only half full...
