BEAUTIFULLY NORMAL

Beautifully normal I recall,

Such a simple expression to say,

When we’re searching for it all,

Each and every day.

Beautifully normal is what she said,

What a way to describe one’s bliss,

An extraordinary thought is what I read,

Genius is what that is.

Beautifully normal she describes her contentment,

In a world where we’re seeking more,

A modest phrase uttered without resentment,

Just a truth plain and pure.

Beautifully normal isn’t normal at all,

It’s something many of us have yet to feel,

She’s obviously taken loves fall,

Head over heel.

Beautifully normal I now desire,

I’m weary from chasing dreams that never come true,

A life so beautifully normal is what I aspire,

So to my friend from whom these two words come… thank you.
