Comfort in Death
Lying there
He sees himself.
As he veers from above
Thoughts of anger does he delve.
And into the unkown
His spirit is dashed.
Long before he lay on that table
Did his suffering heart crash.
She ripped it out
And chewed and nibbled with blood on her face
She broke it down
Claiming her love was disgraced.
Death is his comfort now
Knowing he doesn’t have to make use
Of a heart so scarred and beaten down
By his lovers abuse.
